In January this year, CNCA issued announcement No. 2, which made it clear that products with USB charging interface need compulsory product certification. Since January 1, 2017, the above multi-functional products that have not obtained CCC certification as required shall not be delivered, sold, imported or used in other business activities.
Relevant requirements are as follows:
1、 CCC certification catalogue has clearly included "power adapter (including charger / Discharger) for information technology equipment" and "power adapter (including charger / Discharger) for audio and video equipment".
II For the "household and similar purpose equipment, lighting appliances, plugs and sockets (household and similar purposes)" products in the CCC certification catalogue, if they have the power adapter function supporting information technology or audio and video equipment, and are equipped with corresponding charging interfaces (such as USB charging interface, etc.), it is a multi-functional product with the functions of two or more products in the CCC certification catalogue at the same time. In addition to meeting the requirements of household and similar equipment, lighting appliances, circuit switches and electrical devices for protection or connection In addition to the requirements of CCC Certification Implementation Rules for (electrical accessories), it shall also meet the requirements of CCC Certification Implementation Rules for information technology equipment or audio and video equipment.
3、 Since the above multi-functional products are in the form of new products, some certification bodies, local quality inspection departments and production enterprises do not have a clear understanding of the CCC certification requirements of these products. Most of these products are only based on household and similar equipment, lighting appliances The CCC Certification Implementation Rules for circuit switches and electrical devices (electrical accessories) for protection or connection require certification. Relevant manufacturers shall complete supplementary certification in accordance with the CCC Certification Implementation Rules for information technology equipment or audio and video equipment before December 31, 2016.
From January 1, 2017, the above multi-functional products that have not obtained CCC certification as required shall not be delivered, sold, imported or used in other business activities.

Pet blowers and similar products
Announcement No. 17 of CNCA this year specifies the mandatory certification requirements for pet blowers and similar products as follows:
1、 Pet water blower is a household and similar equipment designed to quickly dry the fur of long haired pets such as cats and dogs. It is applicable to the standard requirements of GB 4706.15-2008 safety of household and similar electrical appliances - special requirements for skin and hair care appliances. It should belong to the skin and hair care appliances in the household and similar equipment in the compulsory product certification catalogue.
2、 Since pet blowers and similar products are emerging products in the market, some certification bodies, local quality inspection departments and production enterprises have not reached a unified understanding of the mandatory certification requirements of this product. In order to encourage product innovation and development and ensure quality and safety, for the relevant production enterprises that have produced this product, CCC certification shall be completed before December 31, 2016 in accordance with the requirements of the implementation rules for CCC certification of household and similar equipment.
Since January 1, 2017, pet blowers and similar products that have not obtained CCC certification as required shall not be delivered, sold, imported or used in other business activities.
The specific time of the above products has been specified. Those who have not obtained the compulsory product certification certificate and have not marked the compulsory product certification mark shall not leave the factory, sell, import or be used in other business activities.
